Dr. Jazz Walker is a digital media and marketing researcher studying the intersections of education, media, culture, and society. Jazz spent 10 years interning and working in various digital marketing strategy roles, before leaving the fashion industry due to the overwhelming lack of diversity and inclusion. In 2014, while exploring ideas around equity, culture, and society, Jazz joined Teach for America and spent 2-years teaching in North Las Vegas, Nevada. While studying culturally responsive teaching in a digital age during her master's program, she found the passion for research and went on to pursue a doctorate in Communication, Culture, and Media studies from Howard University.
